Its been crazy around here. Between getting my garden set up and raising chicks, I've been a busy gal.
When this all first started I didn't want any chickens. Somehow these little buggers have found a place in my heart. They have such wonderful personalities. I've been enjoying them so much. We now have 4 Easter eggers, 2 golden commits, 6 Jersey giants, 6 banys, and 17 mixed breed of Leghorn, austerlorp, commit, and Rhode islands.
The garden is growing well now that we finally stopped having random freezing. I have been working on getting everything in the ground this past week. My zucchini exploded so I have around 100 plants LOL. Good thing I love zucchini:)
We haven't had much luck for Turkey season though. We've been having a lot of rain and its done well for the garden but not so much for the hunting. We've seen a Tom and a hen together but he wouldn't budge off of her. He just stood there and gobbled!
We have however been having sightings of deer! They are running through my garden every morning LOL. I guess they will be well fed this year. We have seen one of the large bucks again. He was running with one of the females. I am seriously hoping he comes by my stand this coming season. One of them walked around my stand everyday leaving huge hoof prints but wouldn't come around while I was there. I'm seriously praying he goofs up this year;)
Nice pictures of chicken you've got there. I used to have a poultry but it was all killed by snake.
