So yesterday it rained all day.. Just like the day before. Of course, we are in a flood area and with the hurricane last week in the east coast and all this rain we thought our areas may be in danger of flooding.
So yesterday we decided we would put the new hub on the blue 4 wheeler and go check the creek. When nick puts the tire back on after changing the hub.. He put it on backwards! He sheared off the valve stem tight off.
So we had to find a tire place that was open on a holiday.. Which is not an easy feat at all. We had to end up going to Walmart. It took Walmart over an hour!
However, I did find some more womens camo gear:) I ended up buying some realtree womens gloves, beanie, and headband. With me living in a small town it's hard to find camo for me. Some reason this year Walmart has been awesome for stuff for us.
We finally get the tire all fixed and get out there to the areas. I take the 250 over and start checking our spots and creek. The creek may be up a little but it's not even close to the top yet and all though it was nice and soupy it was nothing we can't handle.
The guys however enjoyed it to no end! All
The rain caused so many puddles fir them to go splashing through. I on the other hand not so much. The slipping and sliding makes me nervous. I guess a week and a half isn't long enough for me to get over the wreck I guess.
Now today, the kids had school so my butt is up early and it's still raining! We don't have much left to do in the areas but I don't really want to stay at home. After yesterday though, I don't want to be out getting wet and cold either. So today will be stay at home dry day!
We are however down to like 19 days before the season opens! I'm getting more and more excited. We haven't had much luck so far-off being able to catch many pics of the deer but we have proof of a lot of traffic. I think we are down to just setting in the stand and just seeing what comes around.
