Finishing up

So we have only 13 days left until the season opens. We can feel the excitement rise as everyday passes. Of course, we went out to do some last minute details before the wonderful day arrives!

First spot we went to was the cornfield two man area. This spot had some wonderful activity. There was tracks galore coming in all directions.

So we did our trimming and set up a mock scrape. This year we are using the strips that are activated from moisture. They are simple and easy. Just strap to the tree and bam you are pretty much done.

We then went to the one man. The activity was pretty good through this area too. They are using the trail that runs beside the stand. The only thing we really had to do here was a little trimming.

Then off we went to the creek one man. Here we did our trimming and set up another mock scrape. Nick is wanting to hunt this area more so he decided he wanted to place a different brand of scrape. This year he is using the bottled kind. So I guess we will see which ones will draw in more bucks!! In the next few days we will be going back out and placing a camera here. We would've done it today but... Well we forgot it lol.


So now our areas are pretty well set up now. We only need to wait until the 24th. Which the guys have to work. I'll most likely be going out by myself that day. There is a rumor that nicks wife will be joining me but we will just have to see if that's all talk.
