So we went out today to put the new feeder out. We out in 5 bags but there's still enough room to do another two bags! It'll make it so much easier with not having to refill it as often. Last year we used gravity feeders and that was a pain! So we get it up to area 1 and get it all situated and when we turned it on... Nothing! The stupid motor was bad and now we have to wait until Thursday to exchange it!!! So Thursday we will be repairing the new feeder. We've been having a lot of issues catching our deer on the cams. I read that using minerals cut down on the raccoon activity and as you can see from our pics when area 2 had a feeder we had 8 raccoon's feeding there. So we decided to try the minerals in area 1 because they had holes dug in last years spot. Even the salt lick spot was dug out a good foot! We did add a food block to the area but we could only catch one doe on camera. We seen prints and proof that there was a lot of activity though. So we installed a feeder hoping maybe we will catch that big buck I missed last year. I'll update my photo's with my new videos and pictures tomorrow so you can see all the great stuff I found while checking the areas. The deer have dug out the new mineral spot in area 3. There's prints in area 1's mineral spot and of course a video of the stupid feeder haha. So will not be stupid after we change the motor:)
