Velvety Antlerness!

So we just couldn't by pass checking the cam's yesterday. We have a cam along the trail to Area 1 across from another salt lick. So on the way up to Area 1 to set up the new cam we pulled the sd card. We get up to Area 1 and guess what! Nothing but white out pics again. It's getting so irritated and the reason why I went and got a new camera for the area. So we changed out the camera and set up some Swap Donkey and started pulling the pics from the cam from the trail.

To our utter surprise we get our first Antler pic! He's not On-TV- Big (Buck I shot at last year 10 point) but he was still a nice little surprise to us. You should have heard us! We have been busting our butts for two years in this area and all we seen was the signs. No actual pics though. We've seen the scrapes, We killed one last year larger buck, we seen On-Tv-Big, and two button bucks was shot (Yeah, we thought they was doe's, Boy was we surprised when we went to gut him). So we knew they was down there. We wasn't sure why the button bucks didn't have a real rack and we did some research and it mention about minerals. So this year we've put out several mineral licks in hopes of preventing this from happening again. We also seen a 4 point, huge antler's just not many points. So we've been working trying to make sure the deer are taken care of before we go and kill them off lol. It sounds a little off.. but that's what we do.

We then went down and hung the new Bone Collector Hang-on up behind the salt-lick. We had Willie's little brother there with us. I guess now that we have got everything about done he wants to hunt. Nobody get's to hunt unless they work! No free rides here. So we had him busting  his butt with us. So we got that nice area now! We have still have to drag Area 4 and get the stands up for it and that should be about it. We will then back out and only go in about every 2 weeks. Which will kill me!
