We went camping this past week. We left on Sunday and we arrived back home yesterday. It was pretty entertaining, I guess. We did some swimming at the lodge because the lake and creek was so cold! Now that was pretty nice lol. Heated pools and a hot tub was def worth the time and effort with it being so cold. That was the worst part about the entire thing plus our wood just wouldn't burn for us. It was mainly coals the entire time that we was there. Great for cooking on but not very nice for heat. We did have some kick ass breakfast's and dinner's. We had french toast, pancakes, eggs, porkchops, steak, chicken, burger, hotdogs, and of course S'mores! My sister-in-law and her family got the campsite across from us, so we got together for some card playing while the kids played flashlight tag in the dark. The entire thing wasn't horrible like it was the first time. The kids went hunting Crawdad's, swimming in the creek, swimming in the lake, played in sand, and played flashlight tag. It got even better after my husbands friend sent his wife and kids home. Their kids are 4 and 5 and a bit too young to be spending 3 nights out in the woods with it being cold and no electric. They was bored, tired, cold, and screamed way to much. So the last night we was there it was sooooo quiet. It was great! After we got home yesterday I went straight to bed, I was so tired that I couldn't take it anymore. So I was in bed from 11am until this morning at 8:00am. I so enjoyed being able to rest on a real bed while being warm and toasty.

Today we took the kids out fishing. I figured we needed some good one on one family time. So we packed the drinks and fishing poles and out we went. We ended up at Wayne National Forest and we fished off the boat dock area. It had this walking dock thing that ran the length of the lake. It was great fun for them. My daughter would yell "Daddy...my bobber" every two seconds. She caught the most fish today. My son was disappointed as he only caught one. He'll end up going out with dad again soon for a all night cat fishing night though. So his feeling's wasn't hurt too bad. It was a nice family week for us. They both caught fish, they enjoyed some time with nobody but mom and dad. Plus we got to explore another new place that we haven't ever been. We found some Four-wheeler trails, lakes, camping spots, and hiking trails. My husband and I also noted some nice hunting spots for this coming season too while we was there exploring the area. To our disappointment we didn't run into any boar while we was roaming around. I would've like to have came home with a boar but.. maybe next time=)
