No hunting... gotta find something else to do!

I've been having some serious DT's from not hunting! This rain has killed every chance we've had to find us some turkey. We went out a couple of times but the river was up so bad that we never did locate them. Then the rain doesn't stop! Every day off my husband has had there has been thunderstorms. So we got new's yesterday his schedule is finally changing. He will be working only 3 days a week. Yeah he'll be tired, but working 2 16's and an 8 on the weekends will allow him to be off Monday-Thursday. So we have plans of maybe trying some evening hunting when he get's off work this Sunday and Monday, Tuesday seems to be no rain for us here in southern Ohio. So we should be out looking for the elusive turkey's. I can't wait, I've been waiting now for 3 weeks. This is my first Turkey season I'm hunting and I would love to atleast see one. I don't even care if I shoot one as long as I get the chance to see one. I'd be happy with just shooting a picture of it.

The only thing we have seen so far was ticks! Ticks here has been horrible, yuck. Maybe it's due to the fact generally I wouldn't be in the woods. I've never been much of an outdoor person before I started hunting. You know I was one of those people who when they found themselves stuck in the woods, would be wearing flip flops and a tank top. Well Willie and Nick went to scout one of our new spots to hunt, to see if they heard anything. Well what they found was millions of ticks! They creep me out. Even though I hunt I still can't stand bugs. My poor skin is crawling with the thought of it now. I'm not sure if this rain has made them worse or if it's always like this and I just never knew. LOL I'm so citified it's crazy! How does someone who has never been outdoorsy end up climbing around in the woods? That is the million dollar question there.

Any way all this no hunting has caused me to be bored! I've been having to find other things to occupy my time. So I finally broke out the sewing machine, dusted it, and got to work.  So I went down and picked up some cute material and dusted off the sewing machine. The first night I whipped out some pj pants for my son, just so I can get back in the groove. The morning I was sewing Pink Zebra pj's for my daughter and fighting my cat off! LOL I guess he needed some attention from me and he tried his best to keep me from finishing. So there I sat with nothing else to do. I'm so ADD at times I need to change what I'm doing frequently. So I went back down and check out patterns. I found one that was cute, it was a lap top case but of course it was made for a smaller lap top than what I have=( So I got made and decided I could come up with my own version. I mean how hard could it be? Nah, not hard at all. I whipped it out in no time. Now I got a cute pink zebra lap top case with flip flop buttons! Now I'm debating my next project. I'm not sure what I wanna tackle, maybe some cute little dresses to wear when I'm not out in the woods! Hmm something to think about=)
