Opening Day!

Ok, so hubby took out our son today.  My husband dressed up in his nice net camo out fit and was ready to go out. My son Matt, dressed in his basic camo's since they was going to be tredging through the woods to try and spot some of those elusive turkeys. We know about where they roost, so finding them roaming around shouldn't be too much of a problem. Which if you've ever been hunting you know that just because it seems like everything's perfect, something always happens.

They left and out searching they went and found Zilch! I guess the river is up here and the area where the turkey's generally hang out is under water. So until the river goes down.. we may not have much luck. Lucky for us though, turkey season lasts 4 weeks!! So we have plenty of time to get us some turkey. Now if we can just convince mother nature to
lay off the nasty weather and let the water recede some we might actually get something. Our friend is taking Matt out in the morning to see if we can actually find anything.  Once you hunt the burning starts in your veins. Even if you spend all day out there waiting and watching for nothing. You get the urge that maybe tomorrow. It never ends and the desire increases with each visit, every climb in the tree, and everytime that blind snaps open.
